Gilda's Club Wellness Groups IIViews: 347

another great night of support. angel was most impressed with her group this week, and i was impressed by her strength to make it for the two hour event a day after her full load of treatment…butt kicker!
she is still doing well without her oxygen, and i must add that i was getting so used to seeing her nasal cannula on, but now that’s off, it’s as if she is missing something, like a freshly shaved mustache, which angel thinks is hilarious.

angel had a really good day, it actually started off badly, an appointment with the neuro-oncologist was cancelled this morning due to terrible stomach cramping. angel feels like the source is her right ovary. dr otero wants to eliminate kidney stones, so anther ct scan is set for tomorrow morning. she get unhooked of the 5fu afterwards too. she’ll meet with dr. taylor (neuro-onco) on thursday to go over her MRI in detail and preventative medicines to prevent further clots.

after gilda’s, angel ate her tempura rolls, still a staple, and we discussed the night and what it brought to the both of us. we also talked about camping this spring/summer and other short weekend trips. it will be so much fun to get out again. what freedom! when she was hooked up, it was such a drag. now she’s on wifi oxygen and can now roam freely ;)

“wifi oxy” That is too funny…Made my morning. I have a cousin who has that set up and is such a hard core rider he got a scooter with enough room under the seat for his tank, then drilled a hole in the body to route his nasal unit.

I am so encouraged to hear you making plans for camping and such. Have a ball.

God’s blessings to you both

Mac
