no pain all gainViews: 135

i’m just back from dropping susan off at the train station. her stay with us for the past ten days was wonderful. she got a chance to see how angel is on a minute to minute basis. she saw how angel recoups after treatment and how she deals with this disease. in the past ten days angel’s health and outlook gets better day by day. this morning angel woke up and said, ‘i feel normal, i don’t feel any pain.’ :) she takes a slow release pain pill every 12 hours, and additional break through pain pills as needed. the last time she took the break through was 12 hours ago! she logs every break through pill, and has been up to seven before in a 12 hour period. this is remarkable to say the least. i’ve never doubted angel’s judgement with her pain, or how/what she is feeling, and i trust her that something is working. we are all very anxious about her ct scan next week (her treatment might be bumped to tuesday instead of monday due to the clinic overbooking dr. otero’s schedule).

i feel that so many things are in angel’s favor right now, pain control, her increased appetite, her physical appearance, medicaid, regence paying all pulmonary embolism related bills, the fundraiser which couldn’t have come at a better time since we might have reached the prescription cap yesterday. will call today to make certain though. and all the support and prayers, positive energy, prayer groups all across the country and thoughts sent angel’s way have some way helped. when this all began, my friend paul told me that there have been studies about people living on the west coast sending positive energy/praying for ill people on the east coast, and how it has helped. i now believe him 100%. we couldn’t have done this without our friends and family who have shown so much love and thoughts. we need this to continue, because something is working!

we are heading up to surprise luigi later today to thank him personally. then afterwards angel might want to go attend her co-op meeting at 7pm tonight. it’s amazing she is actually considering it, but hell, if she’s up for it, then do it!
