| new years eve #14! | Views: 36 |
i can hardly believe it, but this is the 14th new years eve angel and i have spent together. looking back to the first year in 1995 in chicago. nine of us between two cars. we partied, and celebrated. the next day on the return drive back to minneapolis, one of the cars broke down shortly after passing the famous mcdonalds in the highway overpass. we then all packed into a honda accord for the remaining 400 miles. three in the front and six in the back. people were literally piled on top of each other, much like the bunk bed position. anyways, tonight is another wonderful day to celebrate the end of the year, which was mostly filled with a lot of fun times with friends and family, new adventures, and of course the diagnosis.
we’re enjoying a mellow night tonight, waiting in hunger for susan’s spaghetti, and later plans to play the board game cleopatra. what a change this new years eve is compared to previous years. i must admit, i am not missing the anxiety of ‘what to do’, cover charges, deejays, cabs, what to wear, etc. it’s just the three of us, and skylar, on the coast and looking forward to every moment of the night. i wish 2007 farewell, and eff you to cancer! i look forward to 2008 and all the new it has to throw at us. i am ready for it all.
happy new year!
xoxo
