i dropped angel off so she can get her head shrink wrapped. angel told me that her therapist has a good vibe and experience with people surviving cancer. this is good. so an hour to do away with, i ran skylar at the park, and played fetch with random sticks, she’s such a good girl. yesterday i bought her a little present, a super bright pink collar to femme her up (we refer to her collar as underwear since it’s the only article of clothing she ever wears, we’re dog nerds). my mother in law says she looks like a boy dog, rightfully so, she wears a dark brown leather collar with silver studs that gives off that impression. actually most people mistake her for a boy. she sports black fur (fur? or hair?), and is very athletic. maybe we should’ve named her pat. i jogged back to the car for a block or so, it felt really good. i think i’m going to pick up running again, but this time stick with it. i walked past roadrunner and thought i should treat myself to a new pair of running shoes to help motivate myself. i have a couple beat down ones, but i’m afraid they’ve seen better days, and are mostly used for mowing the lawn. actually angel is due for another pair soon. perhaps i’ll start with her first. a few months ago, her trainer suggested she hang up her broke down running shoes, so probably good timing. i think about my health all the time. naturally i guess. exercise helps move food through the body (and all the other obvious reasons too), and my eating habit is fairly good, but working on it to be even better.
next stop to wholefoods to load up vegis and fruits to juice. susan sent us a wonderful juicer last month which i finally cracked into. a cup of pressed carrot, apple and ginger was the perfect kick start for angel this morning. lunch was a cuc sandwich with live sprouts, between brown rice bread and lightly warmed up, pickles and a handful of sunflower seeds. anything she enjoys is worth doing again.
dinner with pete, deneen and zade tonight, and then back to work for me.
